 Uxellodunum

Uxellodunum is the famous stronghold where Gallic troops, including survivors of Alesia, besieged by Julius Caesar's legions, fought the last battle for the independence of Gaul. It was on the Puy d'Issolud, which was officially designated as Uxellodunum by the Ministry of Culture on 26 April 2001, that the last battle took place.
The Moulin du Boisset is located 150 metres as the crow flies from this historic site, on the very spot where Roman camps were certainly established.
From June to September, the association "Les amis d'Uxellodunum", which manages the site, offers guided tours with passionate commentary.
A project to create an interpretation centre is underway and will eventually allow you to immerse yourself in this major period of our national history.
More info.

The interactive map below will allow you to visualise all the main activities in the vicinity of the Mill, which you can discover or practice.
